This so called “article” was to sent to me recently, and it thoroughly pissed me off. It’s junk like this that is exactly why American’s keep buying in to every drop of propaganda and lies the Bush Administration spits out. HOW DO YOU PEOPLE NOT SEE THROUGH THIS!?!?!?!
Anyway, read the original article first and then check out my response below.
Here is the Original: Completely Unchanged as I received it.
Verified with SNOPES……..
IN ORLANDO LAST WEEK, AT A CITGO STATION REGULAR WAS PRICED AT $ 3.25 PER GALLON,NO CUSTOMERS, HOWEVER ACROSS THE STREET FUEL WAS SELLING FOR $ 3.33 PER GALLON AND ALL PUMPS THERE HADCARS WAITING TO FUEL.
Have you noticed how the CITGO signs have disappeared in the past 7-8 months? Very clever move by Chavez. But guess what CITGO IS CHANGING ITS NAME TO…this is serious Americans…make sure you read
NEWS FLASH:
Chavez is NOW getting a Russian Weapons Factory built by Putin. The RUSSIANS are building an AK-47 Kalashnikov Assault Rifle factory in Venezuela , to give armament support to Communist Rebel groups throughout the Americas .
Chavez NOW has IRANIANS operating his oil refineries in Venezuela for him. It is likely only a matter of time, if not already, before Chavez has Iranian built LONG RANGE missiles, with a variety of warhead types aimed at: Guess Who?
CITGO is NOW in the process of Changing Its Name to PETRO EXPRESS due to the loss of gasoline sales in the USA due to the recent publicity of ownership by Chavez of Venezuela .
Every dollar you spend with CITGO or PETRO EXPRESS gasoline will be used against you, your basic human rights, and your freedoms. He will start wars here in the Americas that will probably be the death of millions.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT because Chavez is starting to feel the loss of revenue from his holdings. HE OWNS CITGO. This is a very important move that everyone should be aware of.
ANNOUNCED JUST RECENTLY,CITGO, BEING AWARE THAT SALES ARE DOWN DUE TO U.S. CUSTOMERS NOT WANTING TO BUY FROM ‘CITGO-CHAVEZ ‘, HAVE STARTED TO CHANGE THE NAME OF SOME OF THEIR STORES TO: ‘PETRO EXPRESS‘
DO NOT BUY FROM ‘PETRO EXPRESS’ EITHER!!! ‘PETRO EXPRESS’ IS ALSO 100% OWNED BY ‘CHAVEZ.’
KEEP THIS MEMO GOING SO THAT EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT IS HAPPENING. BOYCOTT ’CITGO’ AND ‘PETRO EXPRESS’
MAKE SURE THIS IS PASSED ON TO EVERYONE IN YOUR E-MAIL LIST IN THE UNITED STATES AND OUTSIDE OF AMERICA
Here is my take:
Please Don’t Send me propaganda, and you should encourage your friends not to pass it around either.
Since when did “I saw it on Snopes” make anything you put after it unquestionable. You talk about me believing everything I read on the internet. Try doing some of your own fact checking before you pass this crap around.
Please, people, wake up, don’t be a sheep. Does ANYBODY remember the propaganda machine that was working to get American support behind the invasion of Iraq, and which is now working towards an invasion of Iran. Chavez is just another part of that agenda.
Lets Examine this Article, just for laughs

Too Bad the U.S. companies Chevron, Exxon mobile, BP, and ConocoPhillips also ALL have operations in Venezuela and are partially owned by Chavez, or more correctly, the State of Venezuela.
He will start wars here in the Americas that will probably be the death of millions.
Yea, hes the one going around starting all the wars, invading countries, taking over their government and economy, and killing millions of civilians. OH WAIT! That the good ol’ U S of A.
Chavez NOW has IRANIANS operating his oil refineries in Venezuela for him.
SO WHAT! Even if this is true, which I have seen nothing to show that it is from the news anywhere. What the hell does it matter WHO Chavez has working in his own oil refineries. What if there is someone from Iraqi working in a factory here in America. Oh, they must be harboring terrorists.
People wake up. Have a brain.
to give armament support to Communist Rebel groups throughout the Americas
Really? Where does it say that? Show me a report that Chavez, or any of these groups, or even anyone in America can prove that this is true.
If you believe that kind of crap go watch Fox News.
Our own government and CIA has funded and supported more coup’s and juntas in central and south America over the last 50 years than anybody in the world. Thats a matter of history. period.
Chavez is NOW getting a Russian Weapons Factory built by Putin. The RUSSIANS are building an AK-47 Kalashnikov Assault Rifle factory in Venezuela, to give armament support to Communist Rebel groups throughout the Americas.
True, there are arms manufacturing facilities being built, and they are from Russia. But You have to be quite ignorant to believe that is the actual reason WHY they are being built
Chavez is building arms factories because Bush has put a blanket ban on weapons sales, as well as many other trade embargoes, on Venezuela. Why? Several Reasons.
1) Chavez does not want private U.S. oil companies to have control of Venezuelan oil, which they are trying to get right now.
AP Story:
CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - President Hugo Chavez on Sunday threatened to cut off oil sales to the United States in an “economic war” if Exxon Mobil Corp. wins court judgments to seize billions of dollars in Venezuelan assets. Exxon Mobil has gone after the assets of state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela SA in U.S., British and Dutch courts as it challenges the nationalization of a multibillion dollar oil project by Chavez’s government
A private U.S company deciding that they have the rights to control the oil assests of a sovereign nation? Well that makes perfect sense. -See Example: Iraq
Why, you might ask, has Venezuela made a very large portion of its oil industry state owned?
Aside from the fact that they are still a sovereign nation and have EVERY right to do whatever they want with their own oil. Here are a couple of the ways they have been using this new business plan.
Story From AmericanFreePress.net
The economic reforms and nationalist policies being advanced by Hugo Chavez, the populist president of Venezuela, are liberating Latin American nations from the suffocating grip of the international financial oligarchy.
The soaring price of crude oil has allowed Chavez to support other nations and economic reforms across the region. From Argentina, for example, Venezuela purchased more than $1 billion in bonds in 2005 and may buy as much as $2 billion more.
“Venezuela has been supporting Argentina in freeing it from International Monetary Fund debt, and we will continue, as much as we can, to help Argentina end its dependence on the IMF,” Chavez said.
The Venezuelan investment allowed Argentina’s President Nestor Kirchner to completely pay off its $9.8 billion debt to the IMF on Jan. 3.
“With this payment, we are interring a significant part of an ignominious past,” Kirchner said.
Many Argentines believe that the IMF was responsible for the disastrous economic policies that caused the financial crisis of 2001 and then abandoned the country to recover on its own.
Wow! What a novel concept. A leader of a country taking responsibility for his, and his neighbors, own economic well being, getting out of debt, and out from under control of the world banking cartel (known as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank) Yes, Lets punish them for this. Brilliant!
2) The Second Reason Bush is trying to remove Chavez and smother the Venezuelan economy- To Attack Iran

It’s no secret the Bush Administration is pushing in every possible way for an attack/invasion of Iran. If you don’t know that then this whole email is lost on you. You need to wake up.
So, assuming you do know that:
The oil companies are trying to gain control of Venezuelan oil because Chavez has stated publicly several times, that he will also cut off oil supply to the U.S. if the United States invades Iran.
From the BBC:
Mr Chavez has threatened to cut off oil supplies to the US if provoked.
…
And then he had this warning for Washington: “We don’t want another war, but there will be disastrous consequences if Iran is attacked.”
The Bush administration, and American oil companies, need Venezuelan oil if they are going to be able to support an Invasion of Iran, and since Chavez isn’t willing to play ball, they are trying to squeeze him diplomatically, economically, in the international courts, and vilify him in the view of Americans.
Though this is working quite well in the eyes of Americans, Chavez is not standing for it. So, the possible threat of the United States, or rather Bush, invading Venezuela, is not out of the question. Again See Example: Iraq
So Chavez, like any nation would do under possible threat of attack, is building up his defenses.
For God Sakes, how many times are we going to let them use the same old story to get American people to support destroying a sovereign nation.

Please can you give me a break, I don’t like Bush and his clique at all, but this gratuitous propaganda for Chavez is ludicrous. In Argentina we are paying a very heavy price for the populist oriented policies of both Kirchner, who are the stronger supporters of Chavez, yes he is buying Argentine bonds with an interest rate of 15%, and then he sells them to the market in Venezuela with a margin of 40%. This is the only way that Venezuelans can get some dollars or foreign currency, so they are willing to buy those bonds for less of its face value. Chavez is a cynic and a failure; he does not improve at all the standard of living of the Venezuelans, on the contrary political clients are a way to humiliate a human being, he receives an amount of money to support Chavez or in Argentina the Kirchner couple, but at least in Argentina isn’t working any more. When they asked for a general mobilisation to the Congress, in the moment that the Senators were discussing the unconstitutional exceptional powers used by the Kirchner’s and the consequence of the application of confiscatory export taxes, just 80,000 people paid by the Government and some unions went to the Congress to listen the former president or to be more faithful co president Nestor Kirchner. One hour later 300,000 gathered in Palermo Park supporting the farmers and the Constitution, which had been violated repeatedly by this administration. I am fed up with two things: 1) Nobody has the right to support this new tyrant of the Caribbean, who had forbid most of the opposition to challenge him in the polls this year; 2) The Kirchner couple had destroyed the Argentine economy once again, they denied that we have 25 to 30% of inflation, when any person who buys a product knows that during this year prices gone up a third at least in most cases or they just doubled. The Government had almost suppressed the National Institute of Economic Research (INDEC) firing most of its personnel, especially the professionals who worked there for decades of many years, so they are able to distort all the prices and indexes, what in fact they are doing now. We have like in Venezuela a rampant corruption under the KK government (in ancient Greece the Kakistocracy was considered the rule of the worst and perverse within any society or city). We are heading towards a second and a complete artificial crisis thanks to the blindness of these guys. Nobody here is defending Bush, who does not have defence for all the damage that he caused to our world, including the illegal invasion of Iraq, as denounced by Robin Cook at the House of Commons on March 17, 2003 when I was in London, but please don’t mix up things and persons and less don’t defend a bunch of thieves and crooks just because you are anti-Bush, which is “très à la page” in these days, and he deserves it.
Ok Luis, first of all, thanks for the passionate response.
I am going to try to explain my position carefully.
First of all, I certainly do not believe that Chavez is a perfect leader. Obviously he is not. He has done many bad things, and you obviously know that much better than I do.
I guess I should just say, my point for writing this article was not to support Chavez. It was to point out that Chavez is at least doing something to fight against globalism.
I am not just anti-Bush I am anti-globalist. I just support anyone who doesn’t play by the agenda of the new world order.
Thanks for your comment
And Tim Thanks for the comment, It is motivating to know that people are actually following my blog, keeps me writing stories.
This is crap, do your research. Petro Express is owned and operated out of Charlotte North Carolina. It was bought by The Pantry Inc. in January last year, and distributes gasoline from Chevron, which is based out of California.
